My Dell Studio 17 Laptop

Because of my love for travelling and my freelance job, I am often on the road and find myself in different countries all the time. For me to keep working on my freelance writing and my freelance art I needed a laptop. Also, I couldn’t just buy a normal laptop. This would have to be something that I could use in conjunction with my Wacom Tablet to run applications like Corel Painter and Adobe Photoshop CS4.
These programs require a lot of memory and storage, a fast processor and a decent graphics card in order to run properly. So the type of laptop I needed was more like a desktop replacement. It also needed to be a 17 inch laptop because then I would have a screen size large enough for me to see my work and good enough to recreate colour accurately.
At the beginning, my search led me down the path of considering a Macbook Pro. These laptops are brilliant for all things media related and I thought it would be the perfect item to buy. However, I had a budget in mind and to buy a 17 inch Macbook Pro, it would have cost me several hundred dollars over my budget, so unfortunately that was out.
After reading several reviews, I came across the Dell Studio line and I fell in love. The Dell Studio 17 laptop’s specifications were just as good, if not a little better, than those of the Macbook Pro but came at a far lower price. The processor is fast, there is more than enough memory and the graphics card is also great. Also, the laptop looks fantastic with a sleek glossy black finish.
This laptop is everything I need to work, and that is the most important thing of all.
